Hey,
I've got a second Arlo Pro 2 base station and extra Arlo Pro 2 cameras, Can I put a base station at our place out in the country and connect it to the same account and run the cameras there?
I have Starlink with an ethernet connection to the modem, so setting up the base station is no problem and I have the Arlo Secure multi camera subscritption. Seems like it should work right? Just add the base station, and remove these cameras and add them back under that base station?
Thanks,
Holt

Yes.

That subscription might not carry over to the second location. But you'd still get the free 7-day storage with the Pro 2s, as long as you have fewer than 5 unsubscribed cameras in the account.
Just to add some detail to this -
Arlo is rolling out a new user interface. The original one has "Library" as an option, the new one has "Feed" and "Dashboard" instead. While "Library" doesn't really have much knowledge of location, "Feed" has you set up a location for each camera/base. And it requires one subscription per location.
Arlo will eventually be migrating everyone to "Feed", not sure when.

Ok, but will it work under my account so I don't have to switch users between two base stations? I'm fine with the free option applying, as long as the cameras work. I would find it tediuos to switch accounts just to view another location, but it is what it is.

I tried to connect the base station and I was never able to recognize it. Any ideas? Can it still be connected to the previous account?

Could be.
Are you seeing it in your router's attached device list?
Also, what is the LED status?

The base station belonged to someone else and I aquired it.
The LED status goes to blue for a minute, then to blinking orange. It's never recognized by the app in my account.

See if they removed it from their account.

Understood.
But it would be helpful to know if the ethernet connection between the base and the router is working. The easiest way to check that is to look for the base station in your router's attached device list.

Ok, this is good advice, I'll check it when I get to camp tomorrow. If I find it in the routers devices, it's still blinking orange, then what? I d dtry two different ethernet cords.
Thanks.

The VMB4500 is connected to my router and it recognizes it. The LED is flashing orange.

I go to add new base station / hub, hit the sync button on the bub and nothing happens. Same as when I don't hit the sinc button and I have the flashing blue... but I feel like it needs to be flashing blue. I'm also on the same wifi network with my phone as I am with the hub. Any ideas?

The hub needs to be connected with ethernet to your router. Check your router's attached device list - it should show up there, even if you haven't yet onboarded it.
Also, try using "add device" on a PC (my.arlo.com). That sometimes works when the phone app doesn't.

If you mean the router has assigned an IP address to your base, the flashing amber LED means it can't connect to at least one of your cameras. Do you have any supposedly connected in your account?

I just performed a factory reset and now I am connected. Why didn't I think of that sooner?!
Thanks for the help, looks like this issue is resolved. My cameras are connected.
