I have the Arlo Pro 2 base and cameras and the base went offline. After all the troubleshooting steps I did a factory reset on it. I was able to add the base to my account but when I went to sync the cameras it appears they are syncing but they are not added to my device list. I have read the forum and followed the steps: made sure batteries were fully charged, reset the base, unplugged and let it sit and plugged it back in, tried syncing it from the PC and app. I also turned off my VPN and verified my router broadcasts 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. I have been at this for about 6 hours and cannot get the cameras to be added back. The system is less then 2 years old and my other base that has 5 cameras I bought back in 2018 and its running great. How can I get my cameras to sync to the base? I have 3 cameras that I am trying to sync. Thanks!

Glad it's finally working. One piece of info, though, is that you don't need the app to add any of the legacy cameras to your base. It's just a brief push of the base sync button and then a camera. However it works for you, go for it! 😄

Sorry, I should have checked instead of relying on my memory. The base stations are VMB4540r3 and VMB4000r3. It is the cameras connected to the VMB4000r3 that appear offline on the iPad only.
So they are on-line when you use your phone, and when you browse to my.arlo.com on a PC?

Thank you for your reply, I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
Just for clarity: a PC connected by wireless probably wont have effectivity, but possibly if it is directly physically connected through an ethernet cable, just might have a chance?

Ethernet is more likely to help, but I would try it either way.

The cameras work as expected on my Android 'phone, they show as offline on the iPad and show as "The Arlo device is rebooting ..." online.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app on the iPad?

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but not change. The cameras attached to the vmb4000 also don’t work on the web interface, they only work on my Android device.

Yes that is my understanding that Arlo is only working with android. It no longer worries with Apple or the web interface for me either. This issue has been going on for months without any resolution from the Arlo team.

I could manually stream and record just fine. The no motion detecting wifi cameras were connected and had strong wifi strengths. I decided to re(start/boot) the old base station remotely and all is good again. My original Arlo cameras were working just fine and not affected. Annoying though since they missed lots of activities outside in the busy area!
Just my little rant during my grumpy mawny. 😜

I am trying to add 2 Arlo pro 2 camera's to my system (2x VMC4030P). I already have 1 old camera installed and it works fine. I am able to add/connect the camera's to my system but in the app they remain offline. The batteries are fully charged and the blue light blinks when connecting. Can someone help me to get them running? I dont understand why they wont work...

It is possible that the cameras are still locked to a previous owners account.
Arlo devices need to be removed from the owner account before they can be imported to another account.

Have to day this is messed up Arlo team. Loss of configuration via apple products is disappointing to not be resolved after months of consumer issues. As many my Pto2 will not show as synced on the iOS app or browser on iMac.

The previous owner removed them from his system and did a factory reset. That should be sufficient I guess? They have no problem connecting to my system.

So are you trying to use an iOS app? Do you have a android device to install the app onto to see if it shows the same?

What base station are you using? For some reason, there are multiple issues for folks using a VMB4000.

Hi
Just moved house and tried to set up the hub with 2 pro2 cameras. Hub loaded no problems, but when tried to add the other 2 devices experienced problems.
I have done the reset and loaded the hub again and still no luck. Done the usual power down and also checked that the network is 2.4g.
It goes through the process with the cameras, and I get the upload is completed and whether I want to add another etc .....with the tick .... but go into the dashboard and it's not there.
Any advice?
thanks

Are they on the devices page? You need to add a widget for the camera in order to see it on the dashboard.
