Arlo Pro System with addition Arlo Pro 2 camera for CVR. 5 cameras total. For a while, I had little quirks, but overall it worked well. When I added CVR with a new Arlo 2, the CVR would regularly stop recording. Support wasn't very helpful. Then we had the schedule issue, where I couldn't update the schedule. It took months for this to get fixed, but finally started working again. I decided to try the CVR again (had cancelled it). Numerous times it has just stopped recording. Takes a restart of the hub to work again. The schedule is still flaky (today it was stuck on disarmed while in scheduled mode - disarmed is not part of any of my schedules).

These security cameras are supposed to bring piece of mind, but they only cause me frustration. It is completely unacceptable that the CVR service I pay for regularly just quits working. It is unacceptable that it takes months to fix a bug introduced in the software. If I could return these items, I would in a heartbeat. I used to reccommend arlo to others, but now I make sure to tell everyone DO NOT purchase these.

I spent months manually changing the mode when needed. Now that I don't have to do it, I still have to manually check it to make sure it is doing what it is supposed to. I am contemplating putting the hub on a remotely operated switch (wemo or iHome) that I can schedule to turn off and back on again daily, just to try and keep CVR working.

Hi Ericksaurus,

What do you see when you mention the camera stops recording? What information is displayed, offline, busy?

Everything looks normal, except there is missing timeline. Going into the timeline view, it will show the live video feed, but is not actually recording it and there gaps in the timeline. Those gaps are just black and I just get the spinning loading icon when I try to view the video in that gap. I talked to support when this first happened because I had video that I needed in that gap, but they confirmed no video existed in that timeframe.

Hi Ericksaurus,

The Arlo development team is currently investigating this issue. We will provide an update as soon as we have more information to share with the community.

It sounds very much like you Googled for Arlo support and got a bogus service. If so, PM JamesC with the contact info so legal can act on it. In the meantime, use the Contact Support link at the bottom here and again on the new page to get to the real Arlo support.
