When plugging in the battery direct to the USB charger, the LED blinks amber and blue. For the first few moments, I can see the red night vision lights illuminated but eventually they turn off and all that remains is the blinking amber/blue LED. This should indicate a firmware update is in progress, but it's not connected to the base station or the internet.  If I unplug the USB charger, the camera goes "dead."  It won't sync, no lights flash, etc.  Unrecognizable to the base station.  Not sure what's going on here or how to get my camera back!

Reinsert the battery to reset the camera. If no good, swap batteries around as well as trying a different charger.

tried that, it works a while but goes right back to flashing and will not sync again

now it works with my Iphone, but will not connect with my note book computer? Why?

Are you trying to sync the camera using the computer or just view it and it shows as disconnected? If the former, don't - it's already synced. If the latter, try flushing the  browser cache and/or use a different browser to see if there's a difference.
