Before I do this and regret it, asking first.

I have a six-camera system (the max for my free plan).  One camera needs to be replaced.

Will removal of that camera and replacement with the same model allow me to keep my free plan?

It shouldn't if you replace it with a camera that also was sold with the free 7-day storage - but some folks here have reported issues when they had the 6-camera free plan.

If that were to happen to you, you could post back and tag the mods - BrookeN, JamesC, ShayneS - so they could help.

I think someone mentioned on here before that the six pack was a special product that required some kind of code to be entered https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo-Pro-2/How-To-Setup-The-Arlo-Pro-2-Six-Camera-Bundle/td-p/1646497?...

The other issue is the availability of replacement pro 2 cameras: you can get news ones but these will be sold on eBay etc.

Used ones are widely available but you'd need to make sure that it's been removed from the account by the previous owner.

Although you'll see from that thread that there's an issue with adding the sixth camera altogether.

The free plan was for five cameras, not six.

Why does the one need replaced anyway?

My question was about whether replacing a camera on a free plan (not adding one to it) would affect the free plan.  It sound like you do not know.

It doesn't matter for my question, but to avoid misinformation, there was a six-camera free deal when I got my system, but only if you got all six cameras at once.

A camera could need to be replaced for a lot of reasons.  Damage, in my case.
