Arlo 2 Pro Outdoor power adapter with magnetic mount

Just got the Outdoor power adapter to use outdoor with my Arlo 2 Pro. I'd like to use it with the magnetic mount but when I do that I can't use the "wind-bracket" that came with the power adapter. Any ideas? Do I need the "wind-bracket"?

The wind bracket helps secure the cable's connection to the camera. We recommend for best results to supplement the vma4900 outdoor cable with the vma1000 Outdoor Security Mount. This will ensure the cable is connected and stays connected properly in outdoor weather conditions.
