The view on this camera is like looking through a fish bowl or fish eye lens.

The horizon is badly bowed.  Is there no correction for this?

Looking at the road at the end of the driveway and it is bowed like a rainbow.  Very distorted view.

My other cameras have a correction routine for this effect.

I must say as a new user to Arlo I am very disappointed in it and the apps.  Very poor for such an expensive system.

Hi @wirlybird

May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have performed so far? I don't want to suggest any prior methods you have previously performed.

What troubleshooting steps are there?  There doesn't seem to be any settings to change or adjust.
I guess if you are not going to make a suggestion then why even post?

These cameras use very wide angle lenses without rectilinear correction. Thus, it will always be curved. The Ultra cameras go to 180 degrees and offers the ability to correct some in software but your camera is ~140 degrees and no correction. 140 degrees is comparable to an 8-10mm full-frame DSLR fisheye lens and I don't know of any in that range that have correction built-in.

Basically, it is what it is due to the extreme angle of view.
