iPhone XS Max, crashes when trying to play recorded videos though the arlo app. This has happened a bout 3 or 4 times in the past couple weeks. I have never had an app crash an iPhone before! What’s up?! Any fixes?

Have you rebooted the phone and reinstalled the app?

Yes Phone reboots autmoatically after App crashes phone.

I will delete the app and reinstall and then return and report.

I just deleted the app, reinustalled, and pushed the app to the limit... CRASHED PHONE....

This is exacly what i can do to repeat this issue:

1) open videos in app start playing.

2) flip to next video quickly and then another.

3) ZOOM in on video and then try to zoom back out.

That's when the crash occured this time.

Hi @motch6,

Did you install the latest Arlo iOS app version, which is 2.7.2, and the latest iOS version, which is 12.1.4?

First of all, this isn't a recent occurance.  So, the app should have been stable in whatever enviroment it was in.

Second, since I deleted the app and reinstalled it, the assumption would be that the newest version would re-install.  Which is the case.

So, bottomline, yes, all up to date.

I would suggest to try logging out of the app, uninstall the app, restart your iPhone (not when the app crashes and reboots the phone for you). and reinstall the app. Then try to log back in and see if that changes anything.
