Any other benefits when using activity zones?

Hi

I use the entire area to trigger alarms, so I dont see any need to use active zones. Or is it something ive missed? Are there other benefits? E.g do i get better motion detection if I create an active zone for the whole area?

Motion detect is the same, just that with zones you do not get notified of a recording if outside zone ( tho recording still occurs )
