I'm not at all happy with the Arlo App as in thinking I was removing a local storage device I accidently removed the base station. No additional warning, nothing. Its gone now and I can't seem to bring it back on-line even after following the various threads dealing with deleting/restoring base station.
As a long-time computer user it also seems that my configuration cameras/modes are not saved anywhere in my Arlo account or on the Bse Station. How poor is that! At the moment I'm really peeved, imagine what a disaster this would be if I (or any of you) was away from home and accidentally deleted the base station?
If I'm missing something please let me know.

Well after 3 hours trying on what I thought was everthing I couldn't get the base station recognised, my account showed no devices! This was all done using the Arlo app via my PC.
As a last resort I logged out ogf my account (I'd done this many times before) then logged on via my Samsung tablet then tried to rediscover the base station and bingo, the base station was found and I have now added one of my cameras. I'm still very annoyed as all of my camera and mode setups have been lost.

I'm now in a fully recoved situation some 6 hours later. Yes it was my fauly that I removed the device, however I was unaware that it was the Base Station that I was removing. Netgear need to tighten up the application to give adequate warnings and require confirmation as we can loose everything.
A tip for others is that when creating Modes you may want to enter them into a spreadsheet then you have them for later reference... particularly useful if you happen to lose your whole configuration and need to recreate it.
Modes... I also think this is a very poor name, personally I think of Modes as Configurations or Scenarios. I think that a name like one of those would be more descriptive.

Downunda,
When tapping "Remove Device" you are presented with a confirmation request before the removal can be completed. I've tested this and was able to verify the confirmation window does appear on both the mobile app and the web client.
The prompt requests an "Ok" or "Cancel" selection for the following: Are you sure you want to deactivate your Arlo device: <Device Name>
Are you certain you did not receive a prompt?
