Still having an issue with outdoor power adapter. The cord is not long enough so we have used two outdoor heavy duty extensions with it. It has worked very well for quite some time till now. (we need the extensions to reach the outdoor outlet) Battery went low not charging we get a warning that camera is not connected to AC power.  We thought maybe the adapter went bad, but plugged it in inside to an outlet and it charged fine. checked both extensions and they are ok too.  We are stumped!  HELP!

If the same charger works inside but not out, it's the extension cords. It can be dirt/corrosion on any contact (other than ground if you're using 3-prong extensions) although the outlet should also be checked.

The extension cord did not work with the power adapter when up on the porch we took the extension cord down and it works, now we are really stumped.  The camera is up a post aprox 30 ft from the outlet. Perhaps we should just purchase a solar charger?  Climbing this latter is getting old changing out extensions

If new extension cords don't fix the problem, the solar panel would certainly help.

BTW, the extension cords you're using are ones for the AC power, not to extend the USB cable, right?

the  outdoor power adaptor is attached to the camera and then plugged into the extensions cord

Is the outdoor ac socket on a GFI?

Obv if it works inside, it is either the outdoor outlet or the extension cords.
