Photo snapshot/preview in notification emails

When will photo snapshot/previews come back in emails? Only some email readers (Outlook for web, etc.) can display the snapshots/previews. Other email readers do not. When will this be fixed for all email readers?

Not all email providers support this feature. If you're not seeing email previews, your email provider may not support this functionality.
