Enable Wireless Doorbell to Connect to SmartHub

After much sleuthing for work-arounds, I've come to the conclusion that the Arlo Wire-Free video doorbell is incapable of being paired to the SmartHub. Very disappointing. Does Arlo engineering intend to fix this limitation? Without the ability to link the doorbell to the SmartHub the doorbell cannot be used with Apple HomeKit.

No. You can’t connect the Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wire-Free to a SmartHub or base station. The doorbell connects directly to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network.

 They've said they plan to add the feature, but haven't said when it will be available.
