Support additional cameras without cloud backup

I would like to purchase more than 5 cameras (I have 4 now, would probably want 6 or 7 eventually) however I won't pay  $10 a month for the priviledge (on top of $200 a camera!).  I understand cloud hosting has an associated cost and I appreciate the free basic plan however even though I want more than 5 cameras I don't feel the need for all of them to have a cloud backup.  I would like the option to specify up to 5 cameras for cloud backup on the basic plan and also have additional cameras that only backup locally.

I find it absolutely unacceptable that I am not “allowed” to use several $170+ add-on Pro2 cameras without also paying a monthly fee for the privilege to use them.

Why can’t I add the cameras and be “allowed” to designate which use cloud storage and which use the local USB storage drive(s)?

I adore my Arlo system, but I don’t appreciate being forced to pay a use tax after already paying for the equipment.

they do allow 5 for free... you can always create a second account.
