New Device - Cannot connect to WiFi - tried all support steps

I've seen a number of posts here on this same issue - unable to connect the keypad to a 2.4 network.  I'm having this issue.  I, like the others, cannot use "5" and "X" / "Checkmark" to reset.  I've reset my router, isolated a brand new 2.4ghz only network, even though I already had one with Arlo cameras attached.

I cannot get this to work.  I am replacing my Simplisafe, which is now disconnected, and I can't get this bad boy set up.  I spoke to support earlier if I need a new device, sobeit, if we can fix it, great - whatever is quickest.
