When are can we get back the ability to bulk download of videos from the cloud? It is rather time consuming (and a waste of time) to sit there and hit "save" on EACH file when I need to download, sometimes 100+ files. Additionally the default file name should be the device name + timestamp - that would be really helpful for referencing.

It may be handier to purchase a SmartHub (yup, extra cost) and connect the cameras to that. The Essential Gen. 2 cams can't connect there for the time being but that will hopefully come soon. Set up local recordings on the hub and never have to download again.
To answer your question, go into Feed, use the menu (3 dots) and choose Manage Events. You can select as many as you want and then use the Download icon at the bottom left to grab them. There's no Select All so you still have to tag each one but only 1 download action.

Thanks but no thanks to even more hardware. I've already spent a lot on the number of cameras and paying for the cloud recording. Why is this so difficult when it appears this was allowed before (based on a search of the community board). The reason for the cloud recording is so I can also view the recordings when I am away from home, especially monitoring my pets inside.

Apparently you're still using the old user interface (UI) that uses Library to view recordings, You had posted in the Home Security System section which require that your account would be migrated to the new UI that uses Feed for recordings.
I haven't used the old UI for over a year so can't specify exactly how to select multiple recordings but it should be relatively close to what I posted above. As I recall, the web interface has a selection possibly called Select All (or similar) that would allow you to do the same thing (after deselecting all and manually choose the ones to download). Perhaps someone that's still using the old UI can jump in with exact directions. Here's a link to an FAQ that shows how to delete but just change that to download:

I don't know anything about a new UI. From the Arlo dashboard via the web (not the iOS app) there is only an option to select individual files or "select all". That wasn't my original question. It is after selecting the more than 1 file or select all that when I go to "download" each file I selected results in a pop up window on my laptop (Win 10) asking me where to save it. This is the part where I am annoyed that if I select 5 or 70 files it's that many popup windows and I have tell it where to save. This is what I mean by a "bulk download" - select the files I want to save, hit "download", select the location to save to and hit "save" and done - and it saves as many of the files I selected, whether 1 or 100 or all.
