I had the 10sec limit, I incresed  it to 120sec. If I tic off the " Record for a Fixed Length of Time" box will it record longer than the 120sec limit?

Read the FAQ here about this. You need to edit your modes and rules which is where all settings for how the camera operates exist. Be sure to save.
