Does my Arlo go camera only record when I access it?

I want my camera to only record when I access it? Is that the default setting? I do not need it to record constantly

The camera won't record constantly, only on motion detection. If you don't want that but just to be able to log in and live view, go to the Mode tab, click on your camera and choose the Disarmed selection.
