I live off the grid. We run a 12 volt system. We do solar. Our house plugs are the same as the cigarette liter plugs in a car

Is there a way to use our system to charge and also run the Arlo Go.

we want to use the camera indoors. We travel for months at a time

I was wondering about the plugs the bring the voltage down to 5 and 9 volts

Thanks

It may be useful for a 12v DC to 120v AC inverter so you can plug the Arlo charger in. Wouldn't have to be large so current draw would be minimal. Otherwise I think you'd need to cobble something together. I don't know if 9v by itself would be useful but maybe:

Why do some people remove the batteries from their Arlo camera. Is it because you can’t leave it plugged in with the battery installed?

The cameras work fine with either the battery, AC power or both. I would recommend always leaving the battery in since it acts as a backup power supply when power fails. The camera will prevent overcharging by limiting the actual battery level to 80%, the recommended level for Li-ion batteries. It can stay at that level for a very long time. The battery meter will show 100% which is 100% of that 80%. Only by charging in the external charger will the batteries be charged fully.
