I am confused by the website about the statement of availability. Can anyone buy one of these or not?

They are not released to market yet.... but when they are anyone can buy.
Easiest thing to do is check Amazon, Bestbuy, etc as they usu know when it's coming out before us

You could use an Arlo Q Plus ( indoor rated ) and feed it via ethernet cable from you router ( but if no wifi , prob no router either )
Only other option would be a wifi Hotspot using mobile data modem with an etherent port, and data plan to boot.

thanks so much for these replies - I've been feeling stuck in trying to figure this out. It's for protection of an empty building - all internet service has been disconnected - that's why the 'go' model is so attractive, I'm guessing it works with a data plan kind of how a cell phone works with one.
