I am trying to configure scheduling for 2 Arlo Go cameras, and for whatever reason, it is not working. I have searched extensively in the Community, and can't find pertinent answers on possible limitations to scheduling.

I have both cameras set up using Scheduling to record based on Motion and Audio triggering, but the schedule only allows me to schedule 6 time slots in a 24 hour period.

I would like to set up the scheduling where the cameras are armed to detect motion and audio once every hour for 2 minutes, but I cannot schedule more than 6 2 minute periods. The schedule looks like it might be doing something, but the 7th time slot just does not appear.

Basically, I would like the cameras turned on for triggering every hour for 2 minutes. This has more to do with limiting the number of email alerts during a 24 hour period.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it possible to do this? Or is the schedule limited to only 6 entries in a 24 hour period?

Hi @ArloESA,

Are you setting this up through the app or the web version? Do you receive an error when trying to add the 7th time slot?

I am setting this up through the web, and have tried different browsers, but get the same response.

If I go beyond a 6th action to schedule, I get a response that appears as if the change is communicating to the camera, then eventually that goes away and the screen returns showing the schedule, without any change appearing.

To make this clear I am trying to do the following:

1am - 1:02am Trigger on Motion and Audio

2am - 2:02am Trigger on Motion and Audio

3am - 3:02am Trigger on Motion and Audio

4am - 4:02am Trigger on Motion and Audio

5am - 5:02am Trigger on Motion and Audio

6am - 6:02am Trigger on Motion and Audio

7am - 7:02am Trigger on Motion and Audio

etc, through 11pm.

My cameras are in areas where there is little motion, but I would like to see periodic notifications of conditions at the site, so I trigger on audio, which triggers when the microphones pick up the wind.

I can do the above for 6 time periods, but I cannot do it beyond 6.

What I found out after I posted the first question was after having 6 trigger periods, I could add a time period from 12am-5am for it to trigger on motion only, then have 6 2 minute trigger periods every two hours (5am, 7, 9, 11, 1pm, and 3pm), then trigger on motion only from 3pm until 12am.

So essentially, I have 8 schedule points.

12am-5am trigger on motion only.

5am - 5:02am trigger on motion and audio.

7am - 7:02am trigger on motion and audio.

9am - 9:02am trigger on motion and audio.

11am - 11:02am trigger on motion and audio.

1pm - 1:02pm trigger on motion and audio.

3pm - 3:02pm trigger on motion and audio.

3:02pm to 11pm trigger on motion only.

I would rather have 23 2 minute time periods where it triggers on motion and audio, but I cannot go beyond 6.

Thanks for providing the information regarding this. There are some limits to how many slots you can add per day. What I would recommend is to post your Idea on the Idea Exchange Board to be able to extend the time slots on schedule.

Done. Thanks.

It sounds like your actual request to Arlo might be to offer a “periodic” mode where we could schedule a snapshot or recording on a regular interval and have that image show up on the devices screen when we open the app.  That would be a more direct solution rather than offering more time slots on the schedule...though both might be useful.
