Yes i can confirm that the legacy 7days cloud storage for me in BNE is still functioning, was distressed with the original EOL notice but glad arlo backtracked.
I have read numerous reports recently that users are saying that they have lost their pro/2 library recordings after a newly added model camera subscription has expired, this seems to be rectified by removing the expired subscription camera to re-enable the free 7days recordings and then re-adding the unsubscribed camera again.
You can only have max of 5 unsubscribed cameras in an account to maintain the legacy 7days cloud storage for the pro/2 cameras.
The newer camera/s will only allow live streaming and basic notifications without the paid subscription.
The only other issues I have had is after a Base update that the mode settings get stuffed up and needs the mode toggled since it goes into disabled mode.
The arlo pro2 Camera’s motion detection can disable internally and requires a 10sec battery removal to reset it. Doing a motion utility test can identify the condition.

This is disappointing that Arlo is not providing a 7 day free cloud storage service anymore.I can read in the Arlo community page - in US the the 7 day free cloud service is still available uninterrupted. So why are customer in Australia treated differently?
Arlo reversed their initial decision to remove the 7-day cloud storage for the legacy cameras. See the last post from @JamesC in the discussion thread you linked in. Also your verge link says that.
But to be clear - the Go 2 is not a legacy camera. None of the currently sold cameras have the free 7-day cloud storage feature. Arlo stopped offering that on new camera models five years ago (2018) when they introduced the Ultra. The Go 2 was introduced after that (2022). The Go 2 package does say that a subscription is required for cloud storage.
The older Go camera was introduced in 2017, and that model does have 7-day cloud storage. Although it is not on the current EoL list (so technically not a legacy model as Arlo uses the term), it is no longer sold.
Australian customers are not being treated differently here, the above is true in both the US and Australia.

Hi Stephan
Thanks for replying back.
My query was regarding arlo pro 2 camera product which was sold with free 7 days cloud service. I understand Arlo is saying because of EOL its ending this serice for arlo pro2 camera users (legacy users) (also I didn't know this when I purchased the product).
But in US its clearly mentioned, they clearly mentioned this isnot the case anymore and legacy users inc arlo pro 2 users have uninteruped service. Why not so for Aussie?

New, updated information is now available regarding the EoL policy. These changes will allow Arlo legacy users who currently have 7-day storage service to continue receiving that service, uninterrupted.
I encourage you to visit https://downloads.arlo.com/images/PDFs/EOL_Policy/arlo-end-of-life-policy-021023.pdf and read up on these changes.
Thank you,
JamesC "

I mentioned the Go 2 camera only because you posted in the Arlo Go 2 section of the forum. Do you own a Pro 2?
Once again:
Arlo is NOT ending the free 7-day cloud storage for the Pro 2 cameras in either Australia or the US. They did say they would do that in January 2023, but they reversed that decision in February 2023.
Your link to the 2023-02-02 post from Pixellat3d was made a couple of days before they reversed the decision. The current end-of-life policy was revised on 2023-02-10 to reflect the change. The post you are quoting from @JamesC was made after the change, and doesn't mention the US, Australia, or any other country.
The EOL policy does reference the US hardware warranty in the section that starts "When determining the EOL Effective date ..." I believe the intent of that section is to say that if an EOL cameras is still under warranty (in any country), then the warranty terms still apply. The US reference appears to be one specific example. There won't be many EOL cameras still covered by warranty anyway, since none of the EOL cameras were manufactured after Dec 2019.
Since you clearly don't believe what I am saying, I am tagging @DannyBearAgain - who is in Australia, and is still using his legacy cameras with no subscription but with 7-day cloud recording.
If you have lost the 7-day cloud storage for your Pro 2 cameras, then it would be useful to get more details so we can try to help you get it back.

Also, trying to make a manual recording while livestreaming is a good way to confirm that you have cloud storage.

Hey Guys
Thanks I can confirm my legacy arlo2 cam are still having 7 day free cloud service.
I was in impression Arlo was going ahead ending the free service for alropro2 can because of the notifcation I received. But glad this was not related and Arlo still have that 7 day free service for legacy cam.

My thinking is that the arlo legacy free cloud storage service contract was up for renewal and the cloud service provider was upping the price unreasonably.
As arlo had previously opted for a newer 30days service contract with another cloud service provider that was funded by the new paid subscription requirements for post legacy cameras it would have created a disparity between legacy and post legacy users.
Hence the EOL approach.
