Too cold

I live in North Dakota where it gets cold in the winter and my Go2 cameras do not work.  I was not told that when I purchased them from BeMobile as they were not familiar with the cameras.  They are on a vacant farmstead 35 miles from where I live.  The farmstead has no power and solar power is my only source of power for the cameras so an external heater is out of the question.  Arlo is of no help at all and do not want to talk with me on this problem.  All they say is that the cameras have a limited higher and lower range of temperature.  Wish I would have known that before I purchased them.  NOT HAPPY!

I’m having the same problem in Iowa.  I was able to get my Arlo Go to work by setting it inside the house on a window

ledge aimed outside thru the glass, but my other two Arlo Pros which are similar to the Essential cam only pick up the reflection on the glass. I was hoping a person had come up with a terrarium or glass shroud of some kind that could cover the camera and give it sort of a greenhouse effect. Or that the power cord would work, but I tried using the power cord inside the house without the battery and it will not function without the battery in it. I’m unsure if it’s safe to plug the camera into a power source with the battery in it, and then use it out in the cold. That would be a solution for me as a workaround. I tried chatting with Support, but they don’t seem to understand what I’m really trying to do. It took 20 minutes for them to text five short responses.

 FWIW, the Essential Indoor camera will work through glass, though it does need a subscription for cloud storage.  The older Arlo Q and Q Plus are indoor cameras that will also work through glass - and still have the free 7-day cloud storage.

Reflections are an issue that you'd have to manage with any camera aimed through a window.
