How do I view what the camera recorded to the SD card without needing a subscription? I mean, the recordings are on an SD card inside the camera- not up in a cloud.

Not with the Go 2. It has never supported direct access to local storage, so you've always had to remove the SD card and connect it to a PC for viewing.

Unfortunately, the Go2 SD card must be removed from the camera for review. There's no way to view the recordings without doing that.

We used to have that ability, but some jackhole thought it would be smart to take that away from us and force us to buy into their greed cloud. Now your "remote" camera is no longer a remote camera because you literally have to go retrieve the camera, remove the SD card, and download it's contents into your computer to view. This is why arlo is losing so many customers and why their reviews are so horrific. My suggestion is to sell it or throw it in the river and buy a Vosker or reolink.
- Arlo has gotten so bad, they won't even talk to you at all unless you subscribe. This has been the absolute worst customer service experience of my life.
