After the introduction of the smart notifications (people and vehicle recognition)I started getting all of the push notifications for all types of movement. I currently only have people, package, pets and the people/vehicle recognition for push but am getting ALL push notifications. How do I eliminate this? I do have a ticket open. I have deleted and re-added the app, deleted and re added the rules, deleted and re-added the motion routine but nothing is working.
I believe I had this issue before and I ended up removing the battery and reinserting it. I did that too but nothing is working. I have to mute all notifications. Any suggestions?

I just also wanted to add that the camera prior to the updates was working beautifully.

Under Routines and then the camera under motion detection what do you have marked under that section, also under the actions do you have send notification and what are the notifications set to on that as well? Also, can you check your sensitivity level and maybe adjust that.

Are you on iOS or Android? Can you also let me know what software version you are using?

Iphone
version 18.3.1
and I previously included the logs to support, but they keep asking for them over and over. It’s like they don’t have a clue

I'm seeing something similar. I don't get notifications for all motion but the camera is making recordings of all motion, and this reduces battery life quickly. I would prefer the camera record and notify as defined by my routine which is record and notify on people and animals only.
Updates on that bug?

FYI, that wouldn't affect your battery life at all.
The classification is done by the Arlo Cloud, not by the camera.
Whenever the camera detects motion, the video is streamed to the Arlo cloud for analysis. Out-of-zone recordings are supressed after the fact, so activity zones don't improve battery life. That would also be the case if only people and animal recordings were kept (since other classifications would be supressed by the cloud after the fact).

Thanks!
I was hoping to monitor a part of the property away from the house. However, there is a lot of motion and that motion probably triggers a lot of upload. The upload probably eats a lot of battery.
Is there something in the Go 2 API that would allow me to take a picture maybe every thirty minutes? Could I do that with a routine?
Thanks,
Joe

Nope. There's no way to schedule that. I suppose maybe IFTTT or similar may be able to do it but I have no experience.

If you see "Feed" and "Dashboard" in your app menu, then you can create a schedule automation that makes a recording at a set time every day.
Unfortunately you'd need 48 of these to get a recording every 30 minutes. Possible, but a lot of work to set up.
If the motion doesn't happen at night, you could do set this up during the high-motion periods, and then arm the camera normally during the off-hours.
