How much data does the Go 2 use if it's connected via LTE 24/7?

I'm in a situation where my Go 2 camera will just not connect to WiFi at work. I have to use a WiFi repeater and whilst it chimes and appears in the repeaters' device list, the app won't detect the camera. So I've given up on that and want to try connecting via LTE but I'm concerned about it being pricey if it's only connected via LTE.

I'm also concerned about the signal strength and that it might be laggy and slow - as where I want it, I only get to bars of signal on my phone. That isn't really an issue when it comes to using data on my phone, but I don't know if it's a different story for a camera.

Is the phone connected to the same wifi network as the camera?

One thing you could try is setting your home wifi's network name and password, and do the install at home.  Then remove the battery from the Go 2, and set your wifi back to the normal credentials.

Then bring the camera back to work and reinsert the battery.

FWIW, it sounds like you have an extender and not a simple repeater.

On signal strength, try measuring the LTE upload speed using your phone.  Turn off wifi, and use the free Ookla (speedtest.net) app.  The camera needs at least a 1 mbps uplink speed.

The data use depends on the amount of streaming the camera has to do, so it is not something easily predicted.
