Hello,

I have been paying $4.99 a month , now it's $7.99 a month to Arlo. I am not sure what I'm paying for. Also , I got an email that said the payment couldn't go through. It's the same card that paid it in June. Do I have to have a subscription to have videos on the camera when actrivated? I can see it in live when I hit that button  , but since this email there are no videos in the library.

Yes.  You also need the subscription for activity zones, smart notifications, and access to support.

I started a new subscription . I dont know why the payment suddenly stopped. its the same card. I do understand now , that what Ive been paying for all along IS a subscription. So I have the videos back & its working as expected. But its gone from $4.99 up to  the end of Feb 2024 to $7.99
