Unit will not charge in any way and orange light blinks twice, unit is 18 month old

You still need to charge the camera as I suggested. The solar panel is a trickle charger that may not be able to keep the battery charged if it's recording lots of activity. The location of the camera is also a possibility when signal strength and/or quality can be an issue. Temporarily moving the camera to a different location can help decide if it's the camera/panel or location that's the issue. Finally, determining how many total minutes per day of recording can be useful since lots of recording time will overpower the ability of the panel to be able to keep the battery charged.

Gonna guess you let it fully discharge. It helps to proactively charge them. Try this FAQ - the key is to plug in and unplug many times:

We have solar charger on it but it ran low

Thanks for all the help it was firmware problem , followed the manual to unstall and reinstall
