Twice now I've needed to view recent footage from my camera, which hasn't been there. The camera doesn't appear to be saving recent footage onto my SD card and I don't understand why.

I've already tried formatting the SD card on the app. I've factory reset the camera settings. Can someone here help?

Can you see recordings on the card when you eject it for viewing on a computer? Are the cameras connected to the hub or to your WiFi? The video has to pass through the hub so all cameras have to be connected to it. You may also want to try a different card.

Sorry, I didn't realise someone had responded. Thank you kindly. I rely solely on the MicroSD card. It’s the reason I had purchased this specific camera (VML2030). it used to save videos fine and now it doesn’t. Please don’t tell me that I now need a subscription to save videos locally and no other reason.

You don't need a subscription to save videos to local storage.

I do want to confirm that you are ejecting the microSD card using the app, and then connecting the card to a PC for viewing.  That is the only way to see the local recordings.  You would have seen cloud recordings in the app during the trial subscription, but that would have ended when then the trial expired.

Correct. Although, this time I was too quick to properly eject the SD card and received a notification on my app that it wasn't ejected properly.  Anyway, I could only see saved videos from when the camera was still connected to my wifi. Once it was up and running outside of my WIFI range it seems no videos had been saved at all. I also had low battery even though I’d only recharged the battery to it’s full capacity last week. I’m glad you clarified  I don’t need a subscription - I’m hoping this also means I don’t need to be connected to Wifi for videos to store locally??

No, the network connection doesn't matter.

Amazing thank you. Any suggestions or ideas as to why videos don’t seem to be saving to my MicroSD card anymore?

Have you tried a different card yet?

Right. No, I haven’t because this card worked fine when I first used it. If there’s no other suggestions, could you tell me what is the minimum amount of storage required for the card? It’s a little frustrating if that’s what it comes down to as it would seem the camera has ruined it somehow. Although, I’m no tech expert.

Minimum size is 16GB.
