won't connect via the arlo app

I'm having trouble contacting my camera via the arlo app I'm not sure why my WiFi jumps between 2.4ghz and 5ghz could this be the problem if so how do I disable the 5ghz? My WiFi is through sky

The camera only connects via the 2.4GHz band so there's no frequency "jumping". Which camera do you have? What have you tried? What do you see?

I have the essential xl spotlight I have basically downloaded the arlo app selected the correct device then move onto the next screen where I input my WiFi name and password then to the next screen we're I scan the qr code off my phone using the arlo camera and all I does is try and search for the device but cannot find my device. I have tried using someone else's WiFi but that's 5ghz so I'm not sure if that's where my problem is because it does state it has to be 2.4ghz. But how do I disable the 5ghz while I connected my camera

It's a setting in the router.  But not all routers let you do this - my Orbi mesh system is one that won't.
