Just received model VMS3430 system with base station and 4 wireless cameras. I can get the base station to connect to internet and show up in device list. When I attempt to add cameras I get the following. When I press the sync button on the camera it goes blue and then quick flashing blue. I think this means it has sync'd to the base station. Then when the app attempts to find my camera, it says no arlo device found. Almost as if the camera connects to the base station, but the base station does not pass the information to the internet and and then to my app. Remember the app does show the base station in the device list, so the base station does communicate with the app. The firmware in the base station was updated when it was first detected. I have tried a factory reset on the cameras (yes I tried all four and with new batteries) by holding the sync button for 15 seconds.  I am not sure where to go from here. Thanks

Have you tried pairing the cameras via a web browser at MyArlo.com

Yes I have, but with the same result.

The base station shows up, but when I sync cameras the LEDs look good but the cameras do not show up in the device list. I have removed and reinstalled the base station but still no luck. Just as a test I attempted to sync a wired Alro camera, VMC3040r6 FW 1.12.1.1_59_a69a8ff_b3d4763 and it works fine both on my phone and using my.arlo.com. So, to me, the problem seems to be the base station forwarding information.  One additional point of information, The base station is plugged directly into my router. My laptop connection to the router is wireless, as is my phone. (2.4 G). Does this provide any clues? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Is this on the main account or a granted access account for the missing devices?

This is on the main account. There was never sharing granted to anyone.

I have been rereading the instructions and have another question.

When syncing the cameras the instructions read:

1. press sync button on the base unit. Wait for the sync LED to blink green.

2. press the sync button on the camera top for about 2 seconds. The blue LED on the camera will blink slowly then fast to confirm the sync.

Is the timing between steps 1 and 2 critical?

I also downloaded the User manual from the internet. There I see a warning the the camera may need to update it's firmware. What would happen if I press the sync button on the camera while it was  downloading firmware? How would I recover from that error? That update information was not mentioned in the 'Quick Start Guide".

That should work, but make sure you don't hold the sync button in step 1 - just briefly press it.

You should also be able to alternatively use "add device" in the browser or app instead of step 1 (not using the sync button on the base).

Thanks to all for your help. I have gone back to my wired Arlo cameras. I will determine some other way to monitor the outside areas. Thanks again.
