I have an active subscription. 5 days ago removed the battery, charged it and replaced the device and everything was normal. It was detecting motion, and sending notifications for hours during the day and then just randomly stopped. It has full battery. Connected to wifi. Active subscription. Noone has changed settings at all but I did notice that all it was put into armed home mode, which we have never done in the year (I think) we have had it. After delving into the community, I found that the modes have changed without prompt for some reason. So I found the modes settings (despite online instruction being wrong) and updated them so all modes record motion and notify. And nothing has changed.

"Incorrect" directions likely mean you looked at the wrong version. The current apps support the 2 user interfaces (UI) where the old one uses Library to view recordings while the new one uses Feed. Note that on every FAQ you read there's a sentence near the top with a link to the other version.
