Will I be able to view recordings from my phone in the Arlo app without a subscription?

Will I be able to view recordings from my phone in the Arlo app without a subscription if I upgrade my base station to vmb4540? I have completed free trial and didn’t realize that a subscription is required to view recordings with my base station vmb3000.

I have reviewed but still don’t know if this is saying yes I can or no I can’t. If I upgrade smarthub to 4540 or 4500 will I be able to view recordings from app on my phone without subscription?

The 7-day free recording depends on the camera models, not the base.  So upgrading the base won't change the need for a subscription for cloud recording.  However, the 4540 would let you use "direct access to local storage".  https://kb.arlo.com/000062337/What-is-Direct-Storage-Access-and-how-do-I-use-it

That's not as convenient as cloud recording, and it can be tricky to get it to work properly when you are away from home.
