Vmc2050 connection problems

We are trying to connect a vmc2050 to a Verizon internet gateway.  Gateway name has no spaces or special characters. Camera fails to connect every time. Brand new camera.

Does the network password have any special characters?

Also make sure the security is WPA2 (AES)

If you are just trying the app, then you might also want to try my.arlo.com on a PC.  That sometimes will work when the app fails.

I've been told it won't work on PC due to it being a 2nd generation unit. Our security is wpa2. No special characters in wifi name. Just letters, one of then being capitalized if that matters.

Can you split the WIFI and have 1 band be 2.4ghz and one be 5 ghz?  If you can try connecting to the 2.4ghz only.  This can help sometimes I've discovered, even with the latest hardware.

Or use a computer browser aimed at my.arlo.com, especially if it's connected via Ethernet.
