If my cameras and my base station and my phone are all on the same wifi network and base station has 16GB of external storage, then why does this need to generate so much internet traffic?
My internet router is a cellular gateway and I don't want all that Arlo traffic using up my cellular data.
Anyone have a solution?

Prob due to how it works....

remember that the video recorded goes to the cloud servers AND then back to you so the data used is double.

( maybe 2M per ten secs ?? )

If running off the base, have you tried to ARM the camera and then remove internet to the base... it should record to the memory thereby reducing your thru-put.

Downside is while this happens you have no control of the base/cameras and will need to turn on internet to control
