Using iCloud for video storage vs. Arlo Secure

Is there a way we can use iCloud for video storage vs. Arlo Secure?  I’m already paying for iCloud and Apple says that Arlo needs to allow the feed to be recorded in the Home app.

No. The recordings are stored on their servers. Also if you have a subscription they process Smart Notifications, Activity zone if on battery and others. If you want to download them you can upload them to Icloud but don't think that is what you mean.
