I bought the essential cameras recently but it does not save clips into library on phone. Do I need a hub or a plan to just see the clips.

I will check that, I do have a friend on island who has Arlo but he might have registered in another country

I don’t need to store in the cloud just on my phone so I can see it later is fine. I know with Blink it saves files to your phone and the files are not too big and you can delete them at the end of the day

Arlo doesn't record directly to the phone. You can purchase a hub (VMB4540 or 5000 are the most useful) and connect your cameras to that rather than to your WiFi. You can then set up local recordings to a thumb drive (4540) or micro-SD card (5000). You would then use the app to view the recordings. It's not the same as cloud recordings but it's better than a sharp stick in the eye...
