I am trying to set up an essential wireless camera. I am able to get up to the point where it creates a chime. However, the device is never discovered. I have been successful with other devices past this point, But not with this one. Do you have any advice?

Thank You

Try a PC using my.arlo.com instead of the app. If your router lets you disable 5 Ghz wifi, then do that while onboarding.

Also, make sure that your home network

  • uses WPA2 (AES) security
  • has no punctuation in the network name or password

Other Arlo devices?  If so, are they connecting to your home wifi?  Or are they base stations connecting via ethernet, or cameras connecting to a base?
