Symptoms:
With factory-reset (new) Essential camera, the app process to add camera fails once the camera "chimes" after reading the QR code during setup - the camera is blinking blue, reads QR code, chimes, then while the app is "looking for cameras", the Essential continues to blink blue for 5-6 times, then goes dark. The app spins and never finds it.
Tried re-pressing sync on camera, long press to blinking amber and resets to start over, etc. without luck. On a few occassions (between various resets / attempts) the Essential Camera gets an IP address on my wireless network, but the app still spins. Tried app from 2 different mobile devices (phone and tablet).
Have carefully checked 2.4ghz network setup and all other devices including 8 Arlos (doorbell, floodight cam, etc. ) are fine...
Any suggestions? I am almost ready to return amd give up.

Try adding the camera from a PC (browsing to my.arlo.com). That sometimes works when the app fails. If the PC has an ethernet port, try connecting it to your router (instead of using wifi).
Also, make sure you are choosing the correct camera model (Essential Spotlight if you have the spotlight, Essential if you don't).
