I recently bought the Arlo Essential Spotlight WiFi cameras, and brought them to Ghana with me to activate in my house. It is important I can store and record video, in case of any security issues here. I am now told that, not only can I not activate my free trial, there is no secure plan available to me here.

These camera's do not have a place for an SD card, so what can I do to access these plans and utilise the camera's properly?

Thanks for the help

True.

One option is to install a VPN router that connects to a location where Arlo does offer subscriptions.  You might need to create a fresh account with that VPN in place.  This isn't something I've done, but there have been some posts here from users who have.

The other option is to purchase a VMB4540 smarthub, connect local storage to that, and then switch your cameras to connect to the smarthub instead of your local wifi.  Set up direct access to local storage, to let you see the recordings in the app.  https://kb.arlo.com/000062337/What-is-Direct-Storage-Access-and-how-do-I-use-it-for-Arlo-video-recor...
