Motion detection range suddenly lower

Hi All,


I work for a company that sells Arlo Essential Cameras (wired and wireless).

 

We’ve noticed that recently some cameras lose a lot of the motion detection range, it drops down to about 1 meter/3 feet. When replacing the camera the new one also has the same short distance.

 

we’ve tried new cameras, resetting cameras, playing with the sensitivity slider etc. etc.

 

Is there anything else we could try? Cause to me it seems like some software related problem.

Have you used the camera settings motion detection utility to confirm the reduced performance, should have 25ft range at 80% sensitivity.

 

Then compare with the camera triggering rule sensitivity setting to ensure it is the same.

 

Did you perform the factory reset of the camera to restore the camera?
