I continue to get 10-20 video snippets

First let me thank this community.  This community has been forthright, very responsive and I can not thank you enough. But for this community I would have returned the Arlo System & moved but with your help I have been able to march on.

I have been trying to set up my Arlo system (3 cameras +doorbell & chime ) since Christmas.  My experience with Arlo customer service has been very disappointing but this community has been great.

At the moment I have only the following question remaining. I look forward to your response.

1. I continue to get 10-20 video snippets of the same event rather than one snippet of that event up to 5 minutes as is the setting I have selected. How can I arrange for a singular snippet of the same event up to 5 minutes rather than a multitude of snippets of the same event? I have reviewed : ( (sorry HTML can not be posted). Here again the icons that are indicated (such as the pencil) are not available? Why? How to correct?

The "record until motion stops for up to 5 minutes" requires that the camera can actually detect that motion for the whole time. There seems to be a few seconds before recording stops due to lack of motion so the subject can stop and then resume motion but after that brief timeout the recording stops. It's not about your eye detecting motion - the camera has to be able to detect. The usual solution is to use a timed recording (up to 2 minutes) instead.
