Essential not recording but pros are

I have a VMB 4000 with 2 Pro cameras that have always recorded and a new Essential Spotlight that isn’t, even though the hub sees it.

When you added the camera, did you add it to the routines section of the app with what actions you are wanting it to take. Even if the Essential Spotlight is connected if it is not added to the Arm Away, Arm Home or Standby routine it will not do any actions. However, you will be able to use the live view from it under devices.

Is the Essential in a subscription plan?  (either paid or trial).

 

Also, what model hub do you have? (look for a VMBxxxx label on it).
