Why do I have to constantly charge the camera with the solar panel. Before I purchased the solar panel my cameras lasted about 5 days and now with the solar panels it’s doing the same. Do I also need the smart hub.

The solar panel doesn't need a hub to work...its just a trickle charger.
But, what are the temps ?? ( wont charge under 32F )
Usage on camera ?? how many mins per day?

It's not a high-powered supply like the AC adapter. Current output is low due to the size of the panel and varies with the amount of light on it. It will generally keep the battery topped off but can't keep up with high usage of the camera, whether recording or live viewing. Lots of camera usage will still deplete the battery.

So basically it’s not good to have it on all day.

Armed, yes. Constantly recording or using live view, no.
