Can’t connect my essential wire free doorbel to vmb 4540

Hi,

Since 1.5 years i have the Arlo pro 3 cameras with the base station VMB 4540. Yesterday i bought the Arlo essential wire free video doorbell.

I get the doorbell up and running true my wifi. Everything works, but when i talk on my phone to the doorbell 90% of the time it isn’t working. With the pro 3 cameras i have no problem because they run over the base station.
Yesterday I tried everything but i cant get the doorbell to run over the base station, it only lets me set up true wifi connection.

Can somebody help?

Correct.  The AVD2001 can't be paired with a base station today.  Arlo says that they will add that feature, but haven't said when.

What isn't working? 

• No video call when doorbell is pressed?
• No video
• No audio from doorbell->phone
• no audio from phone ->doorbell
• something else?

I called with Arlo today and they told me it cannot pair.

I was having trouble with audio phone (4G) to doorbell. Now that i use 5G its slightly better👍🏼
