Automatically turn off and shutter cameras?

I see all about automations and modes, but I want to have my interior cameras visibly turn off and shutter themselves as part of the “anyone home” routine for the peace of mind of the house inhabitants to know they are not being recorded.  Where is this feature? Why make a “peace of mind” shutter if you have to pick up your phone and drill into a quite hidden setting to change it every single time?

Are you disarming the cameras in the "Armed Home" mode?

I don’t really see a “arm”/“disarm” switch.

I have tried turning off motion detected and audio detected in that mode.

I have even tried removing those cameras from that mode entirely.

Neither accomplishes what I want.

It seems that you're using both geofencing as well as schedules. That's what I use, too, but my indoor camera closes the shutter when in Arm Home. Arm Home does not have a rule for the indoor camera and geofencing simply changes mode to Arm Home for Arrive. Maybe a screenshot of both your Arm Home and Arrive automations would be useful.

That is the right way to disarm a camera when that mode is activated.

Well guess who has two thumbs and is an idiot?  This guy!  The essential wireless camera does not have a shutter like the wired one does.  No wonder it wouldn’t close!  I have the wired one working exactly like I want now; I just need to test geofencing automation.   I wish the wireless camera did have a shutter, as I intend to use both types inside.
