Hello,

We own 3 Arlo Pros and recently purchased 3 Arlo Essential Floodlight cameras.    With the new cameras came a trial period which recently ended.   Now we don't get any notifications from the camera? They supposedly reverted to recording to USB instead of the cloud so why wouldn't they work?   How do I see the videos on USB w/o removing the USB?

With my Arlo Pros I got 7 days of rolling cloud storage, why don't the new ones include that when the trial ends?   Is there a way to purchase cloud storage option or move the rolling cloud storage from the Arlo Pro to Arlo Essential Spotlight?    Huge waste of $300 for new cameras as it seems I have purchased paper weights now since they do nothing w/o paying $30/month.

Thanks in advance for any insight

Arlo stopped providing the 7day free cloud storage for post arlo pro2 model cameras back in 2018.

Any newer models require a subscription plan to function with cloud storage and service features.

Arlo is discontinuing the legacy 7days free cloud service at the end of this year.

To facilitate this the arlo wire-free and arlo pro series cameras will be EOL after March this year and so will also  include the end of the legacy 7days cloud storage feature.

The same will occur for the arlo pro2 and other cameras that use the legacy cloud service at years end.

You can eject the USB storage device on VMB4xxx Base stations to view recordings on a pc, same with the storage card on the VMB5xxx hubs. Recordings available will not include manual recordings or snapshots.

Arlo offers the ability to download recordings to the mobile device if using the 4540 or 5000 base station.

I think you are confused on the pricing.  If you are in the US, then the subscription cost would be $12.99/month for unlimited cameras, with an option for $9.99 if you get an annual plan.

Prices for other geographies is here:

You should still be getting notifications - just no storage.

Not possible, and you will lose the free 7-day storage for the Pro on 1 April anyway.  You should have received an email informing you of that change early in January.
