When I launch a camera from the dashboard, I can hear it click once (not related to nighttime IR). Is there a way to turn that click off? I've never had any security camera make any sound at start-up, so it's not a requirement.

There is no way to switch off that clicking sound.

It's likely the IR filter moving to the proper place, depending on whether it's day or night.

Nothing to do with the IR filter (whuch is why I said it has nothing to do with the IR filter in the original message).

This is also probably related to the tiles refreshing every 7 hours, or when you've opened the app after a considerable amount of time (more than 7 hours). And @jguerdat  is right, I think.

It's a new feature this idea of refreshing stake tiles, though I hope a temporary one and that they'll look into this properly, though you never know with them.

I'm pretty sure I spelled out very clearly in my original post what the issue is, and it has nothing to do with tiles, IR or a flock of seagulls flying overhead (equally germane as some of the responses). But, in case it wasn't crystal clear, this happens WHEN I OPEN THE CAMERA FROM THE DASHBOARD.

I don't want to annoy you here, but it is a bit tricky to know this with certainty.

One way to tell is to test during daylight, and open the dashboard twice.  If you hear the click the second time, then it's not the IR filter.
