Winter Season Frigid Temperature Question

Hi!

If I leave my cameras out during the freezing winter with below -4F temperature without bringing them in for perhaps a few consecutive weeks or even months, even with the cameras shutting themselves off out of operational use due to the temperature, will they suffer permanent damage to the battery if left out? Is it necessary to bring them in during the cold season to ensure future longevity and use?

There have been numerous folks in very cold environments that have not had any damage leaving a camera outdoors during that time. I don't know what the longest period with but you should have no issues with damage.
