With AI it would be nice for the Arlo software to be able to identify a vehicle and estimate it's speed.  This would be very handy in communities that wish to track traffic and monitor speed of vehicles withing the community.

Your Arlo camera is a CCTV camera, not a speed camera. Plus, it'd be impossible to incorporate, as each camera's location and position is different, unlike speed cameras that always sit by the road and at a specific angle.

However, in relation to your own system, you can do it yourself, as you should know from your physics and maths schooling that in order to work out speed, you need distance and time. So, just measure the distance of the area covered by your camera, then check the length of time it takes for a vehicle to travel from point A to point B and you'll get the speed. Since the distance is always the same in your recordings, then you'll just need the time really. You can even work out the speed of a human being walking or running if that's your cup of tea, not to mention a squirrel.

Speed = distance / time
